As some of you may remember from out meeting at Liberty, the TAA will cover 65% of qualifying insurance. From the information I have gathered the ONLY qualifying insurance will be COBRA or BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina's "Blue Advantage" programs.
The 65% that TAA will cover must be claimed as income on your tax returns, however, according to my tax preparer (who is a CPA) there is also a 65% tax credit on self insured policies. So the two figures will cancel each other out as far as taxable income.
If you opt for the BlueCross BlueShield "Short Term Health Care" policy please note that it is NOT covered by the TAA program. You can start with the "Short Term Health Care" and switch to "Blue Advantage" at a latter date and it (The Blue Advantage policy) will be eligible for TAA assistance.

Meetings have been scheduled for Thursday February 21 either 9:30 am or 2:30 pm. Plan to spend 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Meetings will be held at 8340 NC Highway 87. From Madison you will go past Rockingham Community College, the building is across from the High School and on the right.
As you enter the building you will see a reception area. Ask the attendant for directions to the meeting room.

It is with a sad heart that I am posting Walter's Obituary.

MADISON —Mr. Walter Lee "Tank" Oliver died Friday, February 15, 2008.
Arrangements are incomplete at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at Beulah Babtist Church, 105 Wall Street, Madison, NC on Wednesday February 2oth. Visitation will begin at 1:30 with the church service following at 2:00.

WELCOME!
Hi everyone,
After saying goodbye to all my fellow employees at Liberty I knew that we would have to keep in touch. I don't want us to all drift apart and lose touch with each other.
Post you job search up and downs, your education direction if you are going that way, ask questions (someone else may have the same issue). Need a shoulder, a cyber hug or just let off steam and vent, lets give each other a helping hand.
Wondering what those symbols at the top mean? It is the word FREEDOM in Langash. The first known use of the word freedom in a political context dates back to the 24th century BC, in a text describing the restoration of social and economic liberty in Langash, a Sumerian city-state. Enough of the history lesson . . .
