Running out of things?

Hey Everybody,
I have been wondering if it is just me or what? But it seems that almost everyday someone here says "We are out of _____" or "We need some more ____". I guess I was so used to stopping by the store when I was already at town and picking up things that I knew we were low on, it has finally started to show. Now, in an extreme effort to save GAS, I limit myself to going to town once (maybe twice) a week. My list just gets longer and longer. I take Brianna to the bus stop every morning (I'm still getting up at 5:30 everyday). Then I stay here and "do things" like paint, clean out cabinets, or stuff that you just don't have time do when you are working.

What are you guys up to? The ones of you that were lucky and found work, how's everything going?

Later, Cindy

The Test"

Well, I just couldn't stand it. I went to ESC and took the test today. So here are my results.

Individual Profile Analysis:
Business Detail = 67
Plants/Animals and Humanitarian tied with a 45
Leading and Influencing = 43
Accommodating was a big fat ZERO. I guess I won't get to be a Wal-mart Greeter" after all, haha

For you artists out there don't worry about me being any competition to you. My score was only a 14 in the artistic catagory.

On the Aptitude Score:
Highest was Form Perception with a 121 and Verbal Aptitude 118. My general learing ability was 119. For Numerical Aptitude I scored a 108 and Clerical Perception 105.

When I was interviewed after my test, the interviewer suggested the following professions for me to consider: administrative, court clerk, paralegal, legal secretary, bookkeeping, accounting or payroll clerk and a few others. So now I will go to RCC and then to Forsyth Tech to meet with their councelors and they will guide me in the right direction. I'll choose one or the other and then they will set up a schedule to send to Raleigh for "approval".
Maybe I'll get this done next week (in between my painting which was postponed this week)
C Ya,
Cindy

Hey everybody,
I plan on taking "The Test" the first of next week. I've been busy this week trying to get a mistake corrected on my "money". The TRA people sent me a letter and the $$$ amount was over $100.00 more than what ESC said I would draw. I was hopeing that the ESC was wrong, but the TRA amount was wrong, "Bummer". Then, I spent almost 2 days trying to get a call through to an 866 # because they said they needed "additional info" for my initial sign up claim. Any way, I'm starting the job search thing for this week and next week I'll let you guys know my test results. I can hardly wait to see what I'll be when I grow up!

What was your Career Scope Assessment?

Josh and Cindy both talked about their "CareerScope Assessment Profile.  What surprising information did everyone discover about themselves?

Mine said Artisthic 71% -- Go figure that out.
Scientific 100% -- NASA here I am, come and get me!
Plants and Animals 27% - Don't tell all my critters about this - they'll all want new homes. I think it had something to do with not wanting to work in a poultry factory or a pet store.

Their assessment of me for areas of interest are - -  Scientific, Leading/Influencing, Artistic and Humanitarian.

APTITUDE
• General Learning 95 percentile - so you can teach and old dog new tricks.
• Verbal - 69 percentile - so I can talk more than average.
• Numerical - dropping here with a 62
• But Spatial Aptitude I got a 99 percentile - I can think in 3D whopii sign me up for a 3D graphic program - PLEASE!!!!!
• Form Perception 87  - What did those pictures look like? Some were so blurry I am not sure anyone could tell one shape from another. They need a new printer.

I love what they said I should be
An Editor, Creative Director, PrintMaker, Restorer or paper and prints, Paste-Up Artist, Etcher/Photoengraving, Stripper/Lithographic, Electronic Prepress system  operator (been there done that)  Photographer/Lithographic, Chemist or Environmental Analyst, Forest Ecologist, Biochemist or some sort of Engineer, or how about a Psychologist. Programmer, Software Engineer, Computer Operations, Lawyer, Advertising Manager, Warehouse Manager, Customer Service Manager. The only 9 I got was for a Hearing Officer just exactly  what is that?

So what are you suppose to be when you grow up.

Da Proofer here with a update

Hello peoples,

I took the Career Scope test yesterday and I am pleased with the results. Going in I didn't know what to expect as I have never taken anything like this before. Scores between 80 - 120 are in the average range. I scored 131 on form perception & done well on all other categories of the aptitude test. I had almost convinced myself that the test would determine my time would best be suited as a ice cream scooper at Baskin Robbins or picking up road kill for the state. I married a redneck so I am sure someone on my wifes side of the family knows how to make road kill pizza so that might not be to bad. (Can't argue with free meat) Haha I made a funny! I'm glad to see some of you have found work. ( Congrats ) I am planning to go to school but I don't know if I can as my wife has been out of work with a health concern since October. If I got a job offer at this point I think I will take it as money is tight & hope to better myself education wise later on. For those of your who don't remember me my name is Josh and i am a recovering Libertyholic.

Take care,
Josh
